The Ludhiana district administration will soon launch a large-scale enrollment drive under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana (MMSY) to ensure that every resident benefits from universal cashless healthcare. The move comes as part of a focused campaign to achieve 100% coverage across the district and protect families from high medical expenses during emergencies.
The Punjab Government introduced the scheme on January 22 this year to provide cashless treatment of up to ₹10 lakh per family annually without any income limit or exclusion criteria. Officials said the administration will organize multiple enrollment camps across Ludhiana in the coming days to facilitate on-the-spot registrations.
Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain has directed all departments to treat the drive as a top priority and ensure maximum participation. He said residents can also register at any Common Service Centre by submitting their Aadhaar card and Voter ID, adding that no prior appointment or intermediaries are required.
Under the scheme, beneficiaries can avail cashless and paperless treatment at more than 800 empanelled hospitals, including government and private institutions within Punjab and selected hospitals outside the state. The coverage includes over 2,500 medical procedures such as major and minor surgeries, treatment for critical illnesses, ICU care, diagnostics, and medicines, along with pre- and post-hospitalization expenses.
The administration has urged residents to visit their nearest enrollment camp or CSC to get their Aadhaar-linked Sehat Card and take advantage of the scheme, which aims to ensure that no family in Ludhiana faces financial hardship due to medical treatment.
