Punjab Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond urged students to dream high and work hard as he presided over the annual prize distribution function at Swami Chhagan Lal Lala Hans Raj Jain Public Senior Secondary School on Saturday.
Sond said the country’s youth shoulder the responsibility of shaping India into a global superpower and stressed that students must remain focused on their goals. He told them not to be disheartened by setbacks, calling failures the stepping stones to success. The Minister encouraged students to emulate the dedication and sacrifice of freedom fighters and martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation, reminding them that the future of India rests in the hands of its young population.
He praised the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, for strengthening the state’s education system and ensuring quality learning opportunities. Sond also distributed prizes to top-performing students and noted that girls had outshined boys in most academic results. Before the ceremony, he toured the school campus and interacted with staff.
Principal Meenakshi Phull presented the annual report and highlighted the school’s achievements and student accomplishments during the function.
