Ludhiana to Host Asian Soft Tennis Championship 2026 from February 3

Ludhiana will host the Asian Soft Tennis Championship 2026 from February 3 to February 9, with organisers and sports officials reviewing arrangements for the international event during a high-level meeting held here on Friday.
The meeting, chaired by Narinder Pal Singh, focused on coordination, infrastructure readiness and logistical planning for the championship, which will take place at Jassowal in Ludhiana. Senior officials and representatives from the Soft Tennis fraternity attended the review to ensure smooth execution of the tournament.
Raja Ghulam Nabi Wani, Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Soft Tennis Association, participated in the meeting and offered suggestions aimed at improving event management and ensuring international standards during the championship.
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah, in a message shared during the meeting, welcomed the initiative and described the championship as a positive step toward promoting sports, especially Soft Tennis, in the region and across the country. He congratulated the Punjab Soft Tennis Association, players and officials, and extended his best wishes for the success of the tournament.
The Asian Soft Tennis Championship is being organised by the Punjab Soft Tennis Association in collaboration with the Amateur Soft Tennis Federation of India, with support from the Punjab Government. Organisers said the event is expected to strengthen international sporting ties and promote excellence in Soft Tennis.
