Harbhajan Singh ETO Reviews Staff Attendance, Work Efficiency During Surprise PWD Inspection

Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on Tuesday carried out a surprise inspection of several offices at the Public Works Department (PWD) Campus in Ludhiana to check employee attendance, punctuality and the functioning of various branches.
During the visit, the minister inspected offices including the National Highway Circle, Construction Circle, Construction Divisions No. 1, 2 and 3, Horticulture Division, National Highway Division No. 1, and the Electrical Division in Ludhiana.
He reviewed attendance registers in different offices and interacted with staff members to assess whether employees were reporting to duty on time and carrying out their responsibilities efficiently.
Harbhajan Singh ETO directed employees to strictly follow office timings and maintain discipline at the workplace. He said punctuality is necessary for the smooth functioning of government offices and better delivery of public services.
The minister also asked officials to avoid mismanagement in day-to-day work and ensure the timely completion of all ongoing projects. He said delays in execution can affect development works and weaken public confidence in government departments.
He further instructed senior officers to closely monitor staff attendance and project progress so that any lapse in performance or discipline can be addressed without delay.
