Punjab Cabinet Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal on Sunday urged people to embrace the teachings of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji to promote equality, social harmony, and universal brotherhood while addressing the 10th Mukti Parv organised by the Srishtikarta Valmiki Educational Foundation at Dr BR Ambedkar Bhawan.

Goyal said Bhagwan Valmiki Ji, regarded as the world’s first poet or Adi Kavi, gave humanity the immortal epic Ramayana, which continues to inspire generations with its message of the triumph of good over evil and the importance of ethical living.

The Cabinet Minister stressed that Bhagwan Valmiki Ji’s philosophy strongly advocates social equality and remains relevant in today’s society. He said following these ideals can help create a just and inclusive social order.

Appreciating the role of the Srishtikarta Valmiki Educational Foundation in organising the event, Goyal emphasised that education is the most powerful tool for achieving prosperity and happiness. He urged society to uphold the vision of Baba Saheb Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar by ensuring quality education for children.

MLA Madan Lal Bagga also attended the event, along with religious preacher Sheetal Adivanshi, who highlighted the historical and spiritual significance of Mukti Parv. Adivanshi said such initiatives help spread Bhagwan Valmiki Ji’s teachings and guide the youth towards moral and ethical values essential for a harmonious society.
