Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora calls for “Zero Inconvenience” to industrialists, warns of strict action against negligence

Minister for Power, Industry and Commerce, Investment Promotion, and NRI Affairs, Punjab, Sanjeev Arora, on Monday directed Industry Department officials to ensure absolute transparency and give top priority to resolving all matters concerning local industrialists, warning that strict action would be taken against any negligence.

Cabinet Minister Arora convened a high-level review meeting with department officials to assess the progress and functioning of various industrial initiatives in Ludhiana. The meeting was held earlier today.

The Minister led the discussion, emphasizing the need for accountability and timely redressal of grievances. He ordered officials to eliminate potential hurdles faced by industrialists, with the aim of creating a smoother and more efficient business environment.

The meeting saw the participation of Sharanpal Singh Makkar, Senior Vice Chairman of the Punjab Medium Industry Development Board, who was attending his first official interaction after assuming charge. Makkar assured full commitment to promoting robust industrial growth in the district.

He stressed the importance of teamwork and proactive service within the department, underlining that strong cooperation between the government and industry is vital for Punjab’s overall economic development.

Other key attendees included MLAs Kulwant Singh Sidhu and Jagtar Singh Dayal Pura. Also present were Excise & Technical Member Raj Kumar Aggarwal, District Industries Centre General Manager Angad Sohi, and DIC Manager Balwinder Singh Sidhu.
