MLA Bagga Chairs Key Meeting to Fast-Track Development, Sanitation in Ludhiana

Ludhiana North MLA Madan Lal Bagga, along with Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar and Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr Neeru Katyal Gupta, on Thursday chaired a review meeting at the Zone D office to speed up development works and strengthen cleanliness measures across the city.

The leaders directed officials to complete all ongoing projects at the earliest and asked senior officers to carry out regular ground-level monitoring to prevent delays and ensure efficient execution. They stressed that the civic body must maintain strict oversight to deliver timely results to residents.

Focusing on the Canal-based Water Supply Project, the officials instructed the teams involved to work in close coordination with Municipal Corporation staff so that residents do not face inconvenience during the laying of water supply pipelines in different parts of the city.

Councillors and local leaders, including Aman Bagga, Aradhna Surinder Atwal, Pushpinder Bhanot, Ashok Kumar, Manjit Dhillon, Tejinder Raja, Gurvir Golu Bajwa, Manisha Kapoor, Kamraj Sharma and Dashmesh Singh, attended the meeting along with Joint Commissioner Vineet Kumar and officials from various branches.

MLA Bagga said that the civic body is taking concrete steps under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to ensure sustainable development in the constituency. He also directed health branch officials to maintain cleanliness and ensure regular lifting of garbage from static compactor sites, warning that authorities will not tolerate any laxity in development works or sanitation.
