Ludhiana Dy Mayor Prince Johar Orders Fast-Track Completion of Gill Road Project

Deputy Mayor Prince Johar conducted a surprise inspection of the Gill Road reconstruction project on Sunday to address growing concerns from local stakeholders and accelerate the pace of development. During the visit, he directed civic body officials and contractors to eliminate delays and strictly adhere to high-quality construction standards.
The inspection followed reports from local shopkeepers who had raised grievances regarding the project's progress. Johar identified that subterranean issues, specifically leakages in the water supply lines, had previously hampered the construction schedule.
Civic body officials confirmed during the site visit that these leakages have now been fully repaired. Consequently, Johar announced that the reconstruction work will resume at full capacity starting Monday morning to ensure the thoroughfare is restored for public use as quickly as possible.
The Deputy Mayor issued a stern warning to the project’s contractors, emphasizing that speed must not come at the cost of durability. He mandated that officials monitor the site daily to prevent any compromise in the quality of materials or workmanship.
Aligning the project with the broader vision of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Local Bodies Minister Sanjeev Arora, Johar noted that the administration remains committed to upgrading urban infrastructure. He reiterated that the Municipal Corporation is prioritizing public convenience through the delivery of high-standard civic projects across Ludhiana.
