MC Ludhiana Chief Dr Neeru Katyal Gupta Inspects Focal Point Projects, Stresses Quality & Timely Completion

Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (MC) commissioner Dr Neeru Katyal Gupta conducted an on-ground inspection of ongoing development works in the Focal Point areas on Saturday, directing officials to maintain high quality standards and ensure timely completion of projects.
Reviewing works in Phase 4, Phase 7 and Phase 8 spread across nearly 34 acres, the MC Commissioner assessed projects aimed at developing green belts, parks and strengthening civic infrastructure. Senior officials, including Joint Commissioner Vineet Kumar and Superintending Engineer Praveen Singla, accompanied her during the inspection.
Officials informed that multiple projects worth crores—covering park development, road reconstruction and installation of street lights—are either underway or in the pipeline. Dr Gupta instructed the teams to expedite execution and regularly monitor progress on the ground.
Emphasising environmental sustainability, Dr Gupta said the MC is actively working to develop green belts across industrial zones and urged industrialists to adopt and maintain green spaces around their units.
She added that the civic body is carrying out large-scale development works under the guidance of Sanjeev Arora, with senior officials closely supervising progress. She reiterated that strict directions have been issued to ensure quality work and completion of all projects within stipulated timelines.
