Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain spearheaded a high-level District Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee meeting at Bachat Bhawan on Tuesday, March 24, to synchronize industrial resources with local development goals. The session served as both a strategic review of ongoing welfare projects and a platform to honor the private sector's role in Ludhiana's growth.
Coordinated by Chief Governing Officer Ambar Bandopadhyay along with Lakhminder Kaur and Simranjeet Kaur, the meeting brought together the city’s most influential industrial voices. Representatives from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) joined executives from major firms including Vardhman Special Steels, Aarti International, and Bectors Food Specialties to bridge the gap between corporate funding and administrative execution.
The committee conducted a rigorous assessment of current initiatives, emphasizing that future investments must target the critical sectors of education, healthcare, infrastructure, and social welfare. By aligning these corporate efforts with the district administration's roadmap, the DC aims to ensure that CSR funds produce measurable, long-term benefits for the local population.
During the proceedings, Deputy Commissioner Jain presented CSR Certificates of Appreciation to select companies, publicly recognizing their consistent collaboration with the district. Industry leaders from Ralson India, Happy Forgings, and the Jujhar Group, among others, voiced their continued support for the administration’s vision, pledging to strengthen their commitment to the district's social fabric.
