Municipal Corporation Ludhiana Mayor Inderjit Kaur conducted a surprise inspection at the Zone A office near Mata Rani Chowk on Wednesday morning and issued strict directions to ensure punctuality and hassle-free services for residents visiting civic body offices.

During the inspection, the mayor warned several employees who had arrived late to the office, including staff members at the Suvidha Kendra and other branches of the civic body. She stressed that officials must report to duty on time and ensure that citizens do not face delays in getting their work done.

Inderjit Kaur said the civic body’s priority is to provide smooth and transparent services to residents visiting municipal offices for different tasks. She directed officials to examine files carefully and mark all objections at once so that applicants are not forced to make repeated visits to the office.

She also highlighted that the municipal corporation is implementing an e-office system and taking several initiatives to streamline administrative functioning and improve efficiency and transparency in public dealing.

The mayor added that the Bhagwant Mann-led Government of Punjab remains committed to ensuring hassle-free services for citizens. She said similar surprise inspections would continue in the coming days and warned that strict departmental action would be taken if any irregularities are found in public dealing or transparency.
