The Education Department has completed a two-day Artificial Intelligence (AI) training workshop aimed at strengthening digital teaching practices in government schools, with 800 teachers participating across Ludhiana.
The workshop took place at three venues—Government Senior Secondary Smart School (PAU), Government Senior Secondary School on Cemetery Road, and the Senior Secondary Residential School for Meritorious Students. Teachers from various government schools attended the sessions as part of the department’s initiative to integrate advanced technology into classroom instruction.
During the training, experts introduced educators to practical applications of AI in education. Teachers learned how to use AI tools for automated grading, designing interactive digital learning material, and developing personalised learning pathways to meet individual student needs.
Officials said the programme focused on equipping teachers with 21st-century skills that can improve teaching efficiency and student engagement. The department believes that the use of AI will help modernise traditional teaching methods and support better learning outcomes in public schools.
By organising the large-scale workshop, the Education Department aims to keep Ludhiana’s government education system aligned with technological advancements and ensure teachers remain prepared for the evolving demands of modern education.
