In a significant boost to the local startup culture, Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain, IAS, officially recognized and applauded Anaahat Singh, a Grade VII student of DCM Presidency School, for his remarkable achievement at the prestigious Eureka! Junior 2025 innovation competition.

The young innovator secured the First Runner-Up position at the event, which was organized by the Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of IIT Bombay. Along with the trophy, Anaahat was awarded a funding grant of ₹30,000 to further develop his innovative business idea.

The Deputy Commissioner extended his congratulations during a special meeting on Friday, where he also praised the school’s leadership and faculty. He specifically highlighted the efforts of mentors Rohit Moudgil and Priyanka Chitkara, as well as Principal Rajni Kalra, for fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship within the institution.

Anaahat’s success carries particular weight as he emerged as the sole representative from Punjab to reach the podium. He successfully navigated a highly competitive field that included participants from across India and international students from the UAE, Singapore, and Indonesia.

By showcasing his talent on this global platform, Anaahat has brought immense pride to Ludhiana and the entire state. The recognition from the district administration underscores the growing importance of encouraging scientific temperament and problem-solving skills at the middle-school level.
