Ludhiana Police Solve Double Murder Case in Sahnewal Within Six Hours, Three Arrested

Ludhiana Police have achieved a significant breakthrough by solving a double murder case within just six hours of the incident occurring on March 5, 2026. The crime took place in Balmiki Mohalla, Old Ward Number 6, Sahnewal, where victims Bhupinder Sahota (alias Ritik) and Balwinder Kaur were fatally attacked.
Following the incident, local authorities registered a case under the relevant sections of the BNS at the Sahnewal police station against several named suspects, including Jaswinder Singh, Lakhwinder Singh (alias Vishal), Harinder Singh (alias Goldy), and Jaspreet Singh (alias Jass), along with six to seven unidentified individuals. The suspects were allegedly involved in the attack using a vehicle with the registration number PB-10-KC-9137.
Under the guidance of Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, Swapan Sharma (IPS), and the supervision of high-ranking officials including Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rural) Jaskiranjit Singh Teja (PPS), Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Karanveer Singh (PPS), and Assistant Commissioner of Police (South) Harjinder Singh Gill (PPS), a police team led by Inspector Varinderpal Singh acted swiftly.
The police successfully apprehended three of the primary suspects: Lakhwinder Singh (alias Vishal), Harinder Singh (alias Goldy), and Jaspreet Singh (alias Jass) on March 5, 2026. The arrested individuals are currently being subjected to further interrogation to uncover deeper details regarding the motive and the involvement of other participants.
