In a significant push to bring government services directly to industrialists, the Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) hosted a facilitation camp of the Punjab Small Industries & Export Corporation (PSIEC) at its premises, resolving nearly 50 long-pending industrial cases on the spot under the Punjab Government’s “Sarkar Tuhade Dwar” initiative.

The camp witnessed the participation of around 80 industrialists from Ludhiana and nearby industrial areas who approached PSIEC officials with issues related to industrial plots, estate matters, documentation, transfers, and other pending concerns. Two senior PSIEC officials from Chandigarh — Senior Executive Rajat Thaman and Assistant Estate Officer Kamal Preet Singh — interacted directly with industry members and addressed their grievances.

Due to coordinated efforts between CICU and PSIEC officials, nearly 50 cases were resolved during the camp itself, providing immediate relief to industrialists. The remaining matters were assured resolution within a fixed timeframe, officials said.

CICU President Upkar Singh Ahuja appreciated the Punjab Government’s “Sarkar Tuhade Dwar” initiative, stating that such outreach programmes effectively bridge the gap between industry and administration. He said the initiative reflects the government’s intent to resolve industry-related issues at the grassroots level and helps create a more industry-friendly environment in the state.

Ahuja added that CICU remains committed to working closely with government departments for the welfare and growth of industries and would continue facilitating similar engagements in the future to support ease of doing business in Punjab.

Several prominent industrialists attended the camp, including Kamal Singh of Estman Industries Ltd., O.P. Bassi and Aman Bassi of Cos Heatreat, Happy of Vishvakarma Industries, Gurpreet Singh of Paramount Impex, H.S. Bedi of Sahiba Industry, Anil Chhabra of Arsh Industries, and Sunil Chaudhary of Swati Industries.

Industry members lauded CICU for organizing the camp and appreciated PSIEC officials for their accessibility and prompt decision-making. Many termed the initiative a model of effective governance, saying such direct interaction helps accelerate industrial growth and contributes to Punjab’s overall economic development.
