DC Himanshu Jain Inspects EVM Warehouse at PAU in Presence of Political Parties

Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain on Friday conducted the monthly inspection of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) warehouse located at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India.

Joint Chief Electoral Officer Navneet Kaur Bal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Poonam Singh, and representatives of various political parties also remained present during the inspection process conducted at the warehouse.

Officials inspected the storage arrangements and security measures put in place for the EVMs to ensure that the election equipment remains safe and secure. The administration carried out the inspection as part of the mandatory monthly exercise prescribed by the Election Commission.

Speaking on the occasion, Himanshu Jain said the administration conducts regular inspections to maintain transparency and uphold the integrity of the electoral process. He added that officials completed the exercise smoothly while strictly following the guidelines of the Election Commission.

The district administration conducted the inspection in the presence of political party representatives to ensure transparency and compliance with electoral norms related to the storage and handling of EVMs.
