Mission Clean Punjab: Ludhiana MC Steps Up Field Checks

Municipal Corporation Ludhiana Commissioner Ojasvi Alankar on Tuesday directed civic officials to involve market associations more actively in sanitation efforts and conduct regular field inspections to strengthen cleanliness across the city under the Punjab government's Mission Clean Punjab campaign.
Alankar issued the directions while inspecting Gol Market in Model Town. Expressing satisfaction with the sanitation arrangements in the area, he stressed the need for stronger coordination with traders and market associations to further improve cleanliness, particularly in commercial zones.
The Commissioner also asked officials to remain active in the field and carry out regular inspections to monitor sanitation conditions and ensure timely action wherever required.
MC Zonal Commissioner Jasdev Sekhon, Health Officer Dr. Vipal Malhotra and other civic officials accompanied Alankar during the inspection.
Speaking on the occasion, Alankar said the Municipal Corporation has launched several initiatives to improve sanitation standards across Ludhiana. He added that senior officers, including zonal commissioners, are conducting inspections in their respective areas to assess the ground situation and ensure effective implementation of cleanliness measures.
Emphasising public participation, the Commissioner said officials have been directed to seek regular feedback from residents and market associations. He noted that maintaining a clean city requires active cooperation from citizens, traders and community groups, adding that the goals of Mission Clean Punjab can only be achieved through collective efforts.
