Ludhiana Police Solve Creta Car Arson Case, Three Held

Ludhiana Police have arrested three accused for allegedly setting a Hyundai Creta car on fire outside a house in the Haibowal area of the city, officials said on Saturday. The incident took place in the early hours of April 26, while the vehicle was parked outside the complainant’s residence.

According to the police, complainant Sarthak Malhotra, a resident of Surjeet Enclave near Sangam Palace Chowk, informed investigators that unidentified persons allegedly torched his Creta car bearing registration number DL-8CBJ-3792 at around 4 am. Following the complaint, Haibowal Police registered FIR number 115 under Section 326(g) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Acting on the directions of Swapan Sharma and senior police officials, a team led by Jagatpuri police post in-charge Sukhjinder Singh launched an investigation to trace those involved in the incident.

During the probe, police arrested the three accused identified as Chirag Miglani, Arun Barnard alias Kaka, and Manish Kumar alias Golu, all residents of Rishi Nagar in Ludhiana. Police said the accused were taken into custody as per legal procedure and the case has now been successfully solved.

Officials added that further investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the arson and whether more people were involved in the crime.
