CICU Mega Job Fair Generates 3,550 Job Offers, Attracts Over 6,500 Candidates

The Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) provided employment opportunities to 3,550 candidates during its 11th Mega Job Fair held at the CICU Complex in Focal Point on Wednesday. More than 6,500 job seekers participated in the recruitment drive, while over 60 companies offered around 6,000 vacancies across various sectors.
Punjab Housing and Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian attended the event as the chief guest and distributed appointment letters to selected candidates. He praised CICU for creating employment opportunities and supporting industrial growth through collaboration between industry, government departments, and educational institutions.
CICU organized the fair in association with the Department of Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training, Employment Bureau Punjab, Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training, and Sun Foundation. The initiative aimed to connect skilled youth with employers and address manpower requirements in the industrial sector.
Leading companies from manufacturing, engineering, automotive, IT, garments, and allied industries participated in the event. Tata Steel joined the recruitment drive for the second consecutive year, highlighting growing confidence among major corporations in Punjab's workforce and CICU's recruitment platform.
Employers recruited candidates for positions such as computer operators, office assistants, digital marketers, sales executives, technicians, machine operators, welders, CNC operators, fitters, and other skilled and semi-skilled roles.
Speaking at the event, CICU President Upkar Singh Ahuja said that a strong industrial workforce remains essential for Punjab's economic growth. He added that the organization would continue to create employment platforms for youth while helping industries meet their workforce requirements.
The successful job fair reinforced CICU's role in promoting employment generation and strengthening Punjab's industrial ecosystem by bringing employers and job seekers together under one roof.
