VSSL Donates ₹5.5 Lakh Under CSR to Support Welfare Projects in Ludhiana

In a significant boost to local social welfare initiatives, Vardhman Special Steels Limited (VSSL) presented a contribution of ₹5.5 lakh to the District Administration of Ludhiana today to fund ongoing development projects. The ceremony took place at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, where the funds were officially earmarked for women’s digital literacy programs and healthcare services for the underprivileged.
The cheque was handed over by Amit Dhawan, Head of CSR and Administration at VSSL, to the Deputy Commissioner of Ludhiana, Himanshu Jain, IAS. This financial support marks the latest chapter in the company’s long-standing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnership with the city’s administrative body.
Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain expressed his gratitude to the company’s leadership, specifically thanking VSSL Chairman Sachit Jain and Executive Director Soumya Jain. He praised the entire CSR team for their consistent efforts in supporting the District Administration’s welfare works and infrastructure goals.
By focusing on digital literacy, the project aims to empower local women with essential technology skills, while the healthcare portion of the donation will provide much-needed medical relief to needy residents. The initiative reflects a shared commitment between the private sector and the government to enhance the quality of life for Ludhiana’s most vulnerable populations.
